From LIR, guests can choose from several transportation options, including rental cars and private transfers.
The drive to Chachagua takes approximately three hours and follows a scenic route through Guanacaste toward Cañas, Tilarán, Lake Arenal, and the La Fortuna area before continuing south to the hotel. Along the way, the landscape shifts from Guanacaste’s drier tropical scenery to green mountains and the lush rainforest surrounding Chachagua.
La Fortuna Regional Airport (FON), located in El Tanque, is a convenient arrival point for travelers flying to the Arenal region from San José. SANSA operates direct flights from San José to La Fortuna, with a flight time of approximately 30 minutes and schedules that vary by season.
